Choupinette X July babies

Took some time off the day before I started my new job to unwind a little and prepare myself for this whole new environment I was about to step into. Honestly, after the 1st day I was already dying to run right back into the arms of my old job. Haha some scary.. Only 2 days of OT and I've been drained mentally and physically, but I think I should survive just fine after some getting used to. I mean if I can have fun till the wee hours and still make it for work in the past, nothing else can be that hard, right? :D Fighting!!

So.. last week, Char took half day off her work to head to Choupinette with me! Back when eggs benedict were all the rave, I heard from so many that Choupinette serves the best eggs benny in SG. Took me long enough to finally go try it for myself, but better late than never!

Quiet Wednesday afternoon. Arrived just as lunch hour was ending and the place cleared up shortly after we arrived.

Still can't decide if Choup or Hatched has better eggs benny. Was really blown away the first time I visited Hatched,  but their standard wasn't consistent because when I made a return visit it didn't' taste as good and the portion shrunk a whole lot. Haha you'll have to make the verdict yourself!

Back in July, on the eve of Jo's bday, us Monsterz headed to botanical garden for a picnic. Some of us cooked and some of us bought yummy food for the pretty picnic. Few days before the picnic I headed to Daiso with Jo to buy mats, plates and trays for the picnic she had themed in her mind. Her effort = 200%
She wouldn't even let us buy her birthday balloons she wanted to get it herself wtf lol.
And so I decided to make Bacon and Mushroom Pasta instead of my boring-to-death egg mayo(although it is ahem, very very popular). Woke up as early as 8am to go shopping for ingredients and dragged the very sleepy Mich around with me while I do my thang lol.

Tadah! Specially fried up a giant sunny side up egg because Jo referenced thru picnic pics and concluded most of the pretty pics had them eggs. But my poor egg got left out in photo taking afterwards D:
it's ok eggs, you had a special spot in all our tummies..
