Brighter than a shooting star

Happy 2013 everybody! The whole world seems to be in a good mood on the first working/school day of the new year haha or maybe it's just me :p I've had a blast sending 2012 off, we definitely welcomed 2013 with a bang! 

So... resolutions, I've resolved to not set any cos I never really seemed to fulfil or remember them hah! Can't even remember what was my 2012 resolutions..... D:

On NYE, we kickstarted our trip early in the morning to Batam, our last trip of the year. Batam has never been on my to-go list because I didn't had a good impression of the island judging from the pictures from people who had been there. I always felt the place was, dirty? But boy was I wrong..

Upon arrival, we had a mini coach waiting to drive us up to our resort :)

Happy girls! Char has been to Montigo before and we have been pestering her to organize this trip to bring us over ever since heh

Check-in was at 3pm so we headed to the city for massage, A&W and shopping for our BBQ at night which was about 45mins drive away.

At around evening time, we finally checked in to our stay for the night.

The infinity pool which we didn't get to use until the next day because of the rain.

So thankful the boys can cook, the girls could just sit back and enjoy :)

Batam time runs slower by an hour so we counted down twice, 11pm in the villa with CH8 on and then we hit the beach at 12am for fireworks!

Back to drinks and games! Ended the night at 5am and I miraculously woke up at 9ish eager to swim

But the water was still freezing cold from last night's rain, lucky the sun was on our side to warm us up

I should have flung them into the pool hahaha

Then it was time to check-out. Very reluctant to leave this beautiful retreat, but all good things come to an end. Some shots before we leave:
