CHIKUWA TEI X CHARLIE BROWN

Just got home from dinner with the girls. Our dear Rainee is flying off to Aussie for a month and I'm so jealous because it's about 17 degrees there!! I would kill to be in some cold country now but instead I'm stuck here in hot & humid Singapore. Boohoo why can't the weather just cool down already!?

Anyways, I digress. We had dinner at Chikuwa Tei earlier on and it was such a good meal! And the service was good despite reviews warning of grumpy chefs and snappy waitresses. I guess we caught them in a chirpy mood day!

I've grown too lazy to put on makeup to work in the morning.

酒, Cheers!!!!!
Our tummies are happy! Time for desserts!

Char & her smiling eyes
Behind this photo is a crazy lot of laughter. I felt like a promoter holding my dessert and they couldn't stop laughing and then I couldn't stop laughing too and then they decided to stare at me while I take another shot and I always look all weird when people stare at me and then I burst out laughing again and this is a cycle over and over again hahahahaha
See you in a month's time Miss Ang!!

Then last week I was craving for Korean BBQ and we figured we should try somewhere new and picked Blue Garden. IT WAS SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT. The reviews and food blogs I read was a lie.....
So we left disappointed AND smelling really bad(this we were prepared).

We gave up and BBQ-ed crabsticks instead lol.
Was in Town with Mom as early as 9am on Saturday and I had hours to spare while waiting for her to go thru with her root canal treatment, wanted to revisit Robert Timms but it wasn't open for business yet and so I ended up at Charlie Brown Cafe.

Quiet early morning.

Took a short nap in the afternoon and woke up to prepare a simple meal for Mother's Day.

That about sums up my weekend and today.
Look at the time.. I should head to bed. It's only Tuesday tomorrow and I have a long week to go.

xx

  1. What is the price range for the Japanese restaurant? Is the place accessible or easy to find? Thanks!

    2. don't bother to return. i guess many are not aware that the famous Exec Chef had long left Chikuwa Tei Japanese Restaurant since end Feb 2012. i went back with my family and friends (we were regulars) once to try out the standard and of course everything changed from food quality to service and we don't bother to return after tasting such lousy food. it was a total disappointment. hope to see the Exec Chef back in action soon so that everyone of us can enjoy great and quality food!
