HONG KONG DAY 1

xx
After 2 failed youtube uploads and one heck of a long vimeo upload:

------------------------

It's been 2 days since our holiday ended. 7 days of HK now feels too short a trip. I wished we had more time for Shenzhen and Macau. We shopped quite a bit but I didn't managed to buy much, major regret now. I think I shopped the least but my luggage was like the heaviest. Don't know what shit I brought in my luggage, it was already 15kg when we were heading for HK lol o_O

And the weather was really unpredictable there, because the weather forecast was NEVER accurate. Imagine dressing up for a 16 degree weather, only to be hit with 8 degree coldness. But I'm not complaining now, for someone who hates the cold, I really cannot stand the heat in SG now, it's a freaking oven!!

& every day our morning starts with being told off by the different cafe's workers. It's like they all have acute menopause, if this nonsense even exists. No polite service I tell you. You're paying and you get shitty service. But I guess the great food makes up for everything.

Here's pictures for Day 1 while I sort out the other 986 photos and 81 videos,

First to arrive at the Airport!
Tamago face
Photo-bombing Mojo

Morning light.
Arrived at Hotel Cosmopolitan!
Chandelier at the lobby
Our family quad room for 5 nights

We're right across Happy Valley racecourse!

Looking so worned out after a mere 4-hr flight. Because we stayed up to mj and headed to the airport right away with no sleep.

Can you spot something?

We're situated beside a cemetery...................................

I had a shock when my friend pointed it out to me. And something eerie happened the next morning, the boys dissed it off immediately saying it's nothing supernatural but I really beg to differ. I get the chills showering every night I had to keep my toilet door open and I would keep at least one person awake until I was in bed. Creepers.... I'll show the pic in day 2.

Ding ding bus!
Hello Hong Kong :)

Rainee my roommate!
Dim sum for our first meal in HK. Pig blood porridge is awesome! I remember it being my favorite when I was young, before Singapore banned it. Mom told me Msia has it too. In future I can just head over msia to relieve the good ol days! ^^
Friendly(very rare) waitress offered to take group shots for us.
Lovely decor outside Times Square

Every popular station needs a tourist shot

Dinner.
Tickets to the peak!

At Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, where I found all my boyfriends,

And every Singaporean's grandfather,
Ok this is so not my boyfriend hahaha

Secret agent level: Pass!

I disqualify him because he's too tall even for me. I cannot imagine turning and seeing his belly button instead of his face all he time hahahahahaha

Mid-way up the Peak. The fog was craaaaaazy that night.

Ice cream during a cold weather is super shiok!

Then the night ended for half the group and the rest of us went to scout for supper places around our hotel.

Mission accomplished! Barbecue food
The sotong is marbleless!!!
So much to choose from! Yum yumsss
Here's the lady boss with really thick and sad face brows hahaha

& that's our first day in HK. Below's my best buys of the day!

No. 1, Beauty Tech's Ice Cream Concealer. I've only ever tried ZA & YSL's concealer and their coverage doesn't last me longer than this. You can find it in Sasa outlets but sadly, it doesn't retail in SG anymore. I had to go around quite a few Sasas in HK to get these because they're either sold out or only left with 1 or 2 qty in their stores.

No. 2, Gowoonsesang's Bling Bling Cream. Rainee intro-ed this to us and I've totally casted my Urban Decay aside hahaha. Say bye-bye to dull looking face! Think SG retails this but we got it at a cheaper price. Too good an offer to pass up we girls each got 2 boxes!

Gonna hit the sack from work tomorrow and then it's the weekends yay!

  3. I got mine from Ladies Market :) We visited quite a lot in 7 days! Hmm if you're heading to Shenzhen/Macau, my advice would be to make more time for these 2 places, 1 day each would def not be enough! ^^
